These cables are suitable for internal wiring of appliances and switch, control, metering and instrument panels of switchgear, etc
Construction
Standards : BS 6231, UL 83, CSA C22.2, UL Flame test UL 1581/VW1 FT1 FT2
Conductor : plain annealed
Insulation : Flexible PVC
Temperature Range: 0 o C -105 o C
Voltage rating : 0.6 / 1kV
Min. Bending radius : 3 x Overall diameter
Insulation colours : 0.5mm² to 25 mm² Red, black, white, grey, brown, orange, yellow, blue, green, and green/yellow.
35mm² to 120 mm² Red, black and green/yellow. . Other colours available on request.
Relevant Standards :
To BS6231, UL Style 1015, 1028, 1283, 1284; CSA TEW 105 °C; UL VW -1 Vertical Flame Test
Current Ratings
The table below lists the full Thermal current ratings which will raise the Conductor temperature to 85 °C when one cable is installed in free air at an Ambient temperature of 45 °C.
These ratings are applicable for installations which ensure that the operation of the protective device is not greater than 1.45 times the continuous current carrying capacity of the cable.
Where protection is by means of semi-enclosed fuses to BS 3036 the rating must be multiplied by a factor of 0.76.
Note:Sizes 150.0mm², 185.0mm² and 240.0mm², 300.0mm² & 400mm² are classed as dual Rated and are manufactured to UL & BS 6231 only.
